Isla Perttula Corporation Marks 115 Years
PERTTULA, Texas, April 18, 2026 -- Isla Perttula Corporation today marked the 115th anniversary of its founding as the Isla Perttula Sulphur Company in 1911.
"For 115 years this Company has turned what lies under the Gulf Coast into what the country needs, from sulphur to chemicals to the rare-earth materials in today's motors and turbines," said Walter H. Cardwell III, Executive Chairman. "Through all of it, our home has been Perttula."
